Summary
Finney clings onto the handle of the car seat tightly as his father makes a sudden hard turn when driving. His knuckles turning white as he holds onto his dear life. His father drives a little above the speed limit and rather recklessly, a little more than usual in Finney’s opinion.

Despite these feelings getting worse with each passing second, Finney didn’t let it get the better of him. Instead, he focused his attention on his younger sister, Gwen. Who was seated at the front passenger seat and was scared at what was happening. She too was gripping the car handle, with the addition of the seat belt. Her body shivered slightly, as she tried to put on a brave face. She didn’t want to anger their father, who was already in a bad mood.

Despite where they were seated,both Finney and Gwen did their best to reassure and comfort each other. When Gwen would slightly turn to look back, Finney would smile at her and do his best to also put on a brave face. While Gwen would make a discreet funny expression, which brought a small smile on Finney face along with a small “laugh” between them.
