“Have you been with a man before?” David asked, a glint of amusement in his eyes. Connor had to consider his answer. He’d fooled around in med school, sure, but been with - properly? Connor swallowed.
“No-” he cleared his throat, trying to sound less like a nervous virgin (despite the lack of light, he still saw David smirk). “No, I haven’t.”
“It’s not that different to being with a woman. I’ll walk you through.” David’s voice was a reassuring balm to Connor’s drink-addled brain.

Oliver has to face the return of a chronic health issue that once derailed his childhood and adolescence. Yolanda has to learn to say goodbye to her father while learning how to be a good doctor. Liam has to balance family expectations and his own needs. Ivy learns to open up and accept the help of the three fellows.

“I think that makes it worse.” Rhodes replied, tears building in his eyes as he broke down in a sob again. He started to cover his face with his hands but before he could, he felt a hand on the back of his head gently guiding him to rest it; where he buried his face in the shoulder and chest of Downey’s Hawaiian button-up shirt, still not wanting to be seen by him like this but too tired to fight it anymore. He cried into his shirt, not able to stop, while Downey gently caressed his hair. No one had ever done this for him before, at least not since his mom died.
Downey smelled comforting, like jasmine and mint, with a hint of the sterilized scent of the hospital. They continued like that for God knows how long, neither of them saying a word. When Rhodes finally stopped crying, he kept his head resting on Downey’s shirt for a while, he didn’t want to move quite yet. Downey stopped moving his hand in Rhodes' hair and pulled it away as if suddenly becoming aware of what he was doing by the sudden silence in the air.

“What happened?” He asked and so they told him about Sarah’s struggles with her match. How she thought she was drawn to the ED but then at the last minute, she decided on Pathology.
