Laura Werner is a freelance hacker who was hired to gather intel for unknown superiors. Mission supposed to be easy until Adam Jensen - Head of the Security didn't interrupt her plans...
This fanfic was based on my comic, but I changed some things, because those who already know the comic may consider reading the same things boring. Also during writing I felt that some scenes would be better and more emotional after changes. I had to make some major time corrections to fit my events and stretched game action to weeks/months not days. So I'm warning those of you who are not comfortable with my 2026 - 2028 time period before reading.

“I promised you I’d tell you about her,” Jensen says, so long after Pritchard had spoken that he almost doesn’t realise who they’re talking about.
“You said she was family,” Pritchard reminds him. “I’ll admit, I looked into her, but I couldn’t find anything linking the two of you.”
Jensen shakes his head, motions slow and delayed, like whatever he’s thinking about has him so deep in his thoughts that interacting with the real world is barely possible. Another few seconds of silence before he seems to snap himself out of it and turns to look at Pritchard head on. “Have you got anything to drink around here?”
