Summary
No matter how much Finn saw Robin in his brother, Ernesto was his own person, something he was learning to overcome. Things become complicated when Gwen's dreams propose Robin might not have moved on with everyone else. Ernesto or Robin, who was it that kept knocking on Finn's door?

Summary
Making a weapon, or an extension of oneself requires a wide array of methodologies. In Albert Shaw’s case, it takes six years of torture and captivity with just the right amount of softness. Finney will learn this on his way to becoming an agent of ritual with a trigger word and affinity for feeling praised by his captor. If you’re damaged goods, learned helplessness is the best bet.

Summary
Robin is going to die and he can't stop dwelling on what could've been. Up until now, he hadn't thought about whether his feelings for Finney were romantic, but now that his life was coming to an end, he knew and he wished he would've known sooner.
He wished things were different.
He wished he had more time.(I'm sorry guys, I hate descriptions)

Summary
“I’m not him.”
Finney stopped. Turned.
“I know that.” His voice sounded wrecked. He probably looked worse.
“I can…” Ernesto trailed off, fiddling with the bottom of his sweater in a way that was so un-Robin like it made Finney want to scream. He knew what Ernesto wanted to say— I can pretend

Summary
Finney gets his first car at seventeen years old.
It had been a struggle, saving up for it—his dad working almost double the hours for his company, and Finney even picking up a part-time job at a nighttime diner. Gwen had somehow managed to pitch in as well, dumping whatever coins she had stowed in her piggy bank into the fund. Eventually, it all paid off, and here he was, driving him and his sister to the movies in a busted up Chevy Camaro.
…
Finney drives Gwen to a date with Ernesto, where he unwillingly ends up running into someone…otherworldly.

Summary
The moment stretches, taut and terrible. Finney’s hands are trembling, his chest a furnace of heat and panic and something older, something rotten that’s been fermenting in him since Robin disappeared.
“You fucking—you look like him,” Finney spits again, voice low and cracking and breaking like a tree branch imploding underneath it’s own weight. Self-sabotage in all its chaos and glory. And before Ernesto can react, Finney’s fist jerks forward like the movement is intrinsic and practiced to its core—a sharp hit to the jaw, the sound of impact splitting the air, and then another.
Ernesto staggers back, hands up, wide-eyed like a deer under the interrogative gaze of headlights, but he doesn’t fall. Not at first. His mouth cracks open, a sharp gasp, but Finney barely hears it over the whirling storm inside his own skull. He swings again, a wild, desperate motion, the world around him tilting, blurring. He’s not even aiming anymore—just striking at the air, at the memory, at the grief that’s taken shape and manifested horribly, devastatingly as the boy standing in front of him.
Or; Finney misses Robin. Ernesto suffers the consequences.

Summary
Finney’s fingertips brush his knee again as he pulls away, brief but grounding. That had been it. That was all.
But Robin remembers the way it had lingered; in the heat of the day, in the ache of scraped skin, in the quiet pull of Finney’s hands against him.
He watches the memory unfold, leans back on his hands, feels the way the jagged edges of cracked concrete cut into his skin when his eyes lift up to the sky-that’s-not-quite-sky; colourless and endless.
“...yeah,” he murmurs, and the word is small and shaky. “I get it now.”
Or; Robin takes a walk through the afterlife.

Summary
Finney made a promise to himself, a promise to Robin more importantly, that he would always look out for Ernesto. The younger boy's world was made so small, no father and no older brother, and Finney swore that he would always be there for him, no matter what.
No matter what he needs to comfort him through the grief.

Summary
Despite Finney smoking to lessen his feelings, it didn't make his trauma just disappear.
It was still there, it'd always be there.
He'd never forget. No matter how much he wanted to.
Or,
What if Finney actually smokes because it allows him to see Robin and hear him, even if just hallucinating?

Summary
Finney tried to escape and defeat The Grabber for his friend, Robin.
He failed.
But maybe he could succeed doing something else for his dead friend. Maybe, in this freezer, he could find a way to survive...
Even if it meant eating that mystery meat riddled with maggots sitting in the soiled bottom of the freezer.

Summary
But worst of all of this? He missed Robin. He missed him bad. Robin was his friend. His only close friend at that. I mean sure, Donna was kinda his friend but we’re more like acquaintances if anything. Other than that he had no one else. (But Robin wasn’t ‘just a friend’ to you was he?) He pushed the thought down quickly. I mean sure, he did sometimes wonder if Robin hadn’t been taken, what would he think? Would Finney eventually confess? Would Robin like him back? Or would he discard him and look at him in disgust? Or instead would he reject me and stay friends? He would be lying if he said he didn’t like him at least a little bit. Though sometimes he wondered if he even had a chance at all…

Finney reminisces about what his life was like before all that Grabber stuff happened. This takes place a couple months after the events of The Black Phone.

Summary
He can hear the sound of someone moving behind the door, and then a woman's voice calls out, "We do not want any more reporters here! Leave us alone!"
Finney clears his throat, mouth dry. "I'm not a reporter, Mrs. Arellano. My name is Finney Blake. I… I knew Robin."
Silence. For a second, the only sound is the wind whistling through the trees and the pounding of Finney's heartbeat in his ears. Then, the door opens. A tired looking woman with Robin's eyes looks back at him. His chest goes so tight he thinks he's broken a rib for just a second. He looks away, not able to hold eye contact. Not able to handle the emotion on her face.
"Come in," she says finally.

Summary
"The hardest part about surviving isn't what happens in the basement. It's everything that comes after."
Finney Blake may have escaped the Grabber's basement, but freedom comes with a price. The black phone that once saved his life now haunts him, carrying whispers of those who weren't so lucky - Robin, Vance, Bruce, Griffin, and Billy. As survivor's guilt threatens to drown him, Finney finds himself drifting further from his increasingly distant sister Gwen and his struggling father.
Some say surviving is the hardest part. They're wrong. Living with survival - that's what breaks you.
A dark exploration of trauma's aftermath, this three-chapter story follows Finney's descent as he grapples with a simple question: Does surviving make you lucky, or just leave you alone with the ghosts of those who didn't make it out?
[TW: Contains themes of trauma, mental health struggles, and suicide]
