Summary
The Devlin murders lead to a very quiet walk home. So quiet that a little sound breaks through it all and then everything falls apart and then back into place.
Edwin followed the tiny meows until he came across a street drain. Cold sludge trickled through the nearly covered grating, and there, deep in the dark, sat a little glowing star of a white kitten. The grating must have been slowly degrading over time, because a perfect kitten-sized gap in the bars had broken away.
The kitten was damp, its fur pressed with the wetness of the pool it sat in, and its tiny eyes fixed up at the hole calling, calling, calling for mama.
Or: How Edwin loses his bracelet, because he made the Cat King happy.

Summary
The teenager in your hallway can't be older than your eldest, but he sits and he watches, eyes dull and face slack. You wonder if your husband killed him too, if you missed his head cracking open against the wallpaper you chose all those years ago when it all seemed a dream come true. He watches, and you wonder why another child had to die under your roof—could it not have just been you?

Summary
“Bloody hell mate! There was a fucking Misery Wraith there?!” Charles yelled in Crystal’s apartment. He rounded on Edwin, the boy who had seen many in his time in Hell. “How come you didn't hear it? Crystal certainly did!” He ran his fingers through his curls as Edwin went stiff. Charles raised a valid question, why didn't he realise that there was a Misery Wraith skulking around in the house?

Summary
The docks of Port Townsend constantly had some type of ambiance about them. The grey seemed to cling to the skies, coat the clouds and paint the air no matter the season.
Exploring the docks was always an intriguing endeavour.
For Davon, the journey wasn't one of pleasure, but one of necessity.
The dull salt on his lips, the moisture cloaking his boots,
Those were only entailments of the ghost's rather vital visit to the notorious Cat King.
Hopefully, Edwin would not think too poorly of him, though Davon is optimistic about the detective never finding out.

Summary
“30 years of keeping it to himself gone down the drain. 30 goddamn years of not having to think about it, not being seen as fragile, not being seen as some weak little kid curled up in the corner. Even in the afterlife he couldn’t escape him.”
An alternate ending to episode 3, in which Charles and Edwin discuss what was witnessed in Devlin House.

Summary
“With a flicker of light, that damned song resounded once again. “Prove yourself, you are the move you make. Take your chances, win or loser. See yourself, you are the steps you take.” It was as if the lyrics were mocking him. He hadn’t moved. He’d lost him. The most important person in his life. Gone. It was his fault.”
A character study regarding The Case of The Devlin House and how Edwin learned to face his fears (namely the complex feelings for his best friend of thirty years).

Summary
Niko Sasaki was halfway through painting her nails when her housemate finally exploded out of frustration. It had been building to that, sure, but they were having a perfectly wonderful sleepover and then Crystal Palace had to get all up in arms about people she had no ability to control.
“Y’know, I really think he just needs to get over himself! If Charles wants to ever, like, have a chance with anyone, he needs to deal with his communication issues. And I’m not paid enough to help with those.”
