After all, it was up to him to carry on the Keay family name. It was all on his shoulders and he knew that sometime soon he’d be old enough and big enough to go get Leitners for his mum and he knew those were super dangerous and way worse than a splinter. He couldn’t go around crying whenever anything hurt a little, that’s just not how people lived their lives.
His feet were killing him but he wasn’t wincing and he hoped his mum would notice, or maybe hoped she wouldn’t.
