“You have not been listening, have you.” The intonation makes it clear that Father doesn’t ask a question, and so Clive replies with the barest shake of his head, unable or unwilling to find his words. “A waste of an important day.”
“I was dreaming,” he says, quietly.
“It was only a dream,” Barnabas replies, and there is the briefest feeling from Clive that he has heard it before. A prickling sensation at the back of his neck, and an ache like a dull bruise. “Shall we return to our discussion?”

Having been living on the streets for a little over three years, the Midoriya twins knew how to survive. They worked whatever jobs they could find, paid for as much as they could, and had to resort to unfortunate means to acquire everything else they needed. Yes, the two of them were ashamed to admit that they were thieves. And damn good ones, or so they thought. However, that all came to an end upon getting caught by a strange man who looked more like a hobo than the pro hero he actually was. And upon meeting another hero and receiving a boon that changed their lives forever, they learned there was a lot more to the simple fire-based speed quirks they thought they had.
*This is a remake of my A Tale of Twin Heroes story, fueled by my recent acquisition of a PS5 and Final Fantasy XVI. Expect to see some abilities from that game. Don't worry about spoilers for the game if you have yet to play it and want to, this will still mostly follow the story of MHA with a few Final Fantasy moments sprinkled in.*

Fire, blood, and crystal— it was all that engulfed her senses before she died, and when she awoke, Etro found herself in the care of yet another secret order, one dedicated to an all-powerful flamebird. Entrapped through debt, she finds herself bound to a bookish man devoted to a mysterious search on the occult. Etro is forced on a journey with the man, Margrace, and his attendant, Jote, but notices murmured secrets they hide, a sloppy attempt to pretend he isn't someone of importance. Still, in the end, who he is and what they want matters naught to her.
Etro has one purpose alone: life for a life, and no Order, no debt, no Branded or Dominant would keep her from it. She would be free even if it meant slitting Margrace's throat to start her bloody vengeance.
