Summary
A demon called Demise seeks to consume the goddess Hylia and all she protects, and without a way to counter him, he will win. When a young woman with strange knowledge is brought before her, Hylia enlists her sharp mind to help devise a means to defeat him. But even a goddess can run out of time, and she cannot know what the consequences of her desperate choices will be. With her hopes pinned on the stranger and on her chosen, a brave young man far dearer to her than he should be, Hylia, Guardian of the Triforce, makes the fatal decisions that will save the world at the cost of their lives and her own divine existence… and sets in motion a chain of fate that later events will render unbreakable.
We know how this ends, because that’s how Skyward Sword begins. But how did we get here?
