Jules had lived into their 80s, living far beyond expectations in the wasteland. They had done so much in their life, he supposes they didn’t expect to make it so far, to live so long. He had seen the good they had done with their life, reports about the Commonwealth Minutemen and the thriving society that had been built from the rubble. A society that still stands to this day against all odds. He knew they were responsible for the Brotherhood of Steel losing their foothold in the east. He’d met the children they had raised. Bright, chaotic, loving children. A boy and a girl, forever looking 10 and 14 even as their souls grow old and they experience more and more of the world.

He'd always been a kinda of solitary kind of guy, prefering to spend hours alone and on the rare occasions he chose to partake in some company, he kept his group small, or had one-on-one sessions, if you catch his drift. But he was currently travelling with with Ciara McKay, and that woman collected companions like he collected jet cannisters; There was the Ol' Nicky Valentine, an old "friend" of his from way back in the day, Piper Wright, the nosy DC reporter, that Shady Railroad asshole that passes through his town occasionaly, Curie, a Miss Nanny turned Synth, but he was to keep that on the down-low, Cait, his favourite Combat Zone kickass, Preston Garvey of all people, A fucking courser for crying out loud; but there was a new asshole to this motley crew. A Brotherhood of Steel Paladin. Paladin Danse to be specific. And he was exactly like every other Brotherhood asshole he'd met.
So what the fuck was MacCready so pissed about.

It's been ten years since MacCready has last seen her, so he doesn't think he'll ever see his childhood friend (and hero) again, but lo and behold there she is, in the middle of the dusty Commonwealth with a strange bundle wrapped around her chest.
