The story is a twist in the original timeline. I’ve always liked that the characters in CP are imperfect and try their best. I always wondered what it would be like if they don’t meet at the point in their lives where they’ve both learnt their own personal lessons, almost like at an imperfect timing, but only better. How would that story go? -

The after party has been delightful, and after meeting Yennefer Jaskier was able to relax fully. In fact, Jaskier’s been so relaxed that somehow Geralt and him got a bit drunk. Not “picking fights with strangers” or “puking in a flowerpot” drunk, but Jaskier’s feeling invincible, high on the good feeling. That’s why Jaskier later argues that what happened next really wasn't his fault. Seriously.
In hindsight, at least Geralt should’ve realised how bad an idea this was. Being the one with any common sense.
Or: Jaskier really should've learned a thing or two about letting relief and excitement wash over him and not paying attention to what he's doing. Especially after the tiny mishap with the email. Especially in the premiere of Geralt's movie.
