Summary
After “careful deliberation,” the StarClan cats have determined that Needletail’s sins, infinitely worse than that of even the evilest of spirits in the Dark Forest, must be answered with the ultimate judgment; the punishment so harsh that many forget of its existence to protect their sanity:
The Darker Forest.
Such a horrific place is so reviled and feared that Erin Hunter had to omit it from canon. It is rumored that the pain a cat suffers from spending even a heartbeat in the Darker Forest is equivalent to that a Twoleg suffers from walking on a field of legos barefoot across the Earth and into the Sun. Of course, rumors are just rumors; it’s actually far worse.
But clearly, after committing such atrocities to Juniperclaw (and Violetpaw too I guess), Needletail deserved nothing less. In fact, had there been a worse punishment, it ought to be inflicted on her without hesitation, and to refuse to do so is a blatant breach of justice. Alas, the Darker Forest will have to do…
