Feliciano is a carefree merman prince, enjoying simple joys such as painting, fine food, and pretty merfolk. Lovino is rather rigid when compared to his brother. He's often told he takes things too seriously, but how can he not? Lovino is next in line for the throne. Things turn south fast when Lovino finds out that Feliciano has fallen in love with a human of all things! Not only that, Feliciano made a deal with a sea witch to trade his tail for legs in order to see this human. Panicked and angry, Lovino realizes he needs to venture out to the human world as well to get his idiot brother back before their grandfather realizes.
Lovino has no sea witch to help him on land, so when a curious human named Gilbert finds him flopping on the sand, he has no choice but to accept this human's help. Lovino will get to experience the human world his loveable idiot brother is always praising, and maybe he'll realize it's not so bad. This human, Gilbert certainly isn't.

What starts off as a purely physical crush on the part of Alfred Kirkland towards the new gym teacher, Mister Braginsky, quickly spirals out of control and into something much more. Originally written as a fill on the Hetalia Kinkmeme on Livejournal back in 2011 asking for Teacher/Student RusAme. Like the character's lives, the fic kind of spiralled out of control. Minor editing has been done as I repost, and hopefully finish here. I'll try to clarify in the notes if any chapter includes heavy editing, and will update characters, relationships, and tags as the chapters that include more are added.

“And you thought I'd actually agreed to it?! Feliciano, use your brain for once!” He snapped right back as he saw the tears in his brother's eyes. Oh, and here came the waterworks. “...Fine. Fine! But only for tonight! The more time I spend around him, the more I wonder why I'm wasting my time!”
Sure, he had been around Gilbert a few times. The conferences, the times he'd go see his brother with his dumb boyfriend, and… some drunk nights. He didn't want his own brother knowing that part.
