Summary
The sound was wrong, crying out for liberation of its own. This boy was the embodiment of joy the literal god of liberation and it was wrong, so very wrong that he was shackled by his grief, cursed by this torment.
How could Roger refuse?
OR
Luffy is stuck in a time loop and Roger refuses to let it happen again, refuses to put another lifetime of suffering on his grandson's heart.

Summary
“Please, meu paixão, you need to come back to us.” Roger whispered, hand tucked into the dark curls as he gently rested his head against Gaban’s side to feel his heart.
They weren’t the same without him, Rayleigh’s insomnia was bad, if he wasn't awake for days then the nightmares woke him. Roger was anxious, his haki consistently trained on Gaban for even a hint of a change in his Voice… but he wished Gaban could see how his coma affected all of them.

Summary
"My captain- my previous one, that is- well, he was much the same."
"Previous one," repeats Rayleigh pensively, and then, just a little more gently, "I'm sorry."
"Thank you," answers Brook in kind, calm and composed, reaching out to refill the cup of tea he must have finished at some point. "Ah- it was a long time ago."
Rayleigh tilts his head, thoughtful. The artificial, harsh lightning of the room makes the scar on his eye stand out much more than it did in the middle of Sabaody's bubbles; Brook wonders how he got it, and when, and ponders how strange it is for him to miss his own scars, even fifty years after losing them.
"A long time ago," echoes Rayleigh, and it feels like this is all this conversation is made of: echoes, too similar to be surprising and too different to be painless.(or: in which Rayleigh talks with Brook, and Brook wonders about Rayleigh, and they both miss their crew so, so much.)
