此时新雪初晴，整个森林都是肃杀萧瑟之气，白色的雪覆盖在黑色的土之上，不见半分绿意。但几个月后，会有新芽从那剩余的小枝上抽出，再垂落于水面，正如多年以前。春去秋来，时光荏苒，最终这小枝会长成另一棵水曲柳。
而在遥远的南方，柳树也是青了又枯，枯了又青，恰如人生代代，无穷无尽。
只是从此以后，再也没有一个年轻的男孩，和他年长的恋人，在树下互诉衷肠。
