Summary
Hell's most powerful Demons not only are cursed with immortality, but are forever bound and tormented by their deepest regret from life. Zirse Rhineguard, Hell's asscendant from Lucifer, now King and ruler of the Void, has spent thousands of years, now hundreds of life-times over trying to find his Collar- his matching piece- and single soul he betrayed in their original life. No other demon may try and lay claim to another Demon's Collar, for over the Collar's life, they will subconscious and unintentionally invest in tattoos that are identical to their lost half- specifically getting them done on their throat.
The humans are ignorant to their lover's past betrayals, and so the Demons must spend lifetimes over re-establishing that once indestructable bond, until that one soul might remember their partner's deepest sin, and forgive them; releasing them from the endless cycle of torment.
