The boy scrunched his nose in dissatisfaction. Lady luck already wasn’t on his side once again, so that didn’t mean anything. “It’s not like winning is even the best scenario," He argued flippantly.
“What would the best scenario be, then?” Oda hadn’t looked up from his meal once, he was always the perfect wall for Dazai to bounce his thoughts off of.
“A quick death early on. Before the starvation, before the injuries, before you’re at the mercy of bored game makers.” Who could argue with that? Oda’s brows raised in passive agreement, a fair point.
“So, suicide is your plan?” He inquired, lacking any surprise.
“Duh,” a simple admission, he slumped back with his eyes on the screwdriver.

When the Port Mafia raids an enemy facility, the raid being led by Chuuya, Chuuya comes across Dazai who is in a cage and being held prisoner as a lab experiment for his ability. Chuuya sees himself in Dazai so he takes him back to the Port Mafia where Mori helps act as his doctor. Mori offers that Dazai can work for the Port Mafia and be Chuuya’s trainee. He can also live at Chuuya’s apartment until they find a better living situation for him. Dazai doesn’t seem to mind all that much though since he’s gotten pretty attached to the redhead, and agrees. Follow his journey as he meets new friends, fights new (and old) foes, and finally finds a place to call home.
Or: Dazai navigates the life of being in the Mafia and meeting new people while simultaneously falling in love with Chuuya, the one who rescued him from a facility that was experimenting on him for his ability. But, what happens when his past comes back to haunt him?
Dazai is 18 and Chuuya is 22!
