Orion Pax had been hurrying out of the Archive and back to his dock for his shift when an ancient artifact, propulsed by the explosion of Sentinel Prime (with a little too much speed to be completely believable, but then again, the Matrix of Leadership was known to do strange things to fundamental physics on occasion), sailed it's way from the Primal Palace Entrance and directly into his chestplates.
Primus, it seemed, had seen a chance to get a new, better Prime to serve his children in the explosive assassination of his unchosen Prime. There was Civil War to avert, and nothing short of the most optimal Prime would do.
The Matrix was a mysterious artifact for a reason. It also never was as powerful as when the very fate of Cybertron hung in the balance. Poised on the edge of the destruction of Cybertronian Civilisation, as it was then, as it had been back during the Quintesson Invasion, the Vessel of Primus could do miracles.

Especially when Optimus and Rodimus are not very well liked themselves...

Jazz had never expected for one of his cousins and bonded to pass away one cold evening, leaving behind a pair of splitspark twins. He knew of them, had met them once or twice, but when the rest of his family began to pass them over and over again, he knew he need to step in.
The only problem is that his work is only willing to wait for so long. He needs to go back. He works weird hours.
He needs a babysitter.
Prowl hated that running was the only option he had. He needed to get away, but with his certifications to become an enforcers around the corner, he thought he could hold on. When push comes to shove, he knows he needs to start over. He has no credentials, his Academy credits won't transfer, and his skillset is incredibly limited.
He needs a job.

Prowl knew his life was ruined the minute Tarantulas changed after their conjunx ritus. He just didn't expect it to get this bad. With his life changing constantly, he's meeting new mechs every time. Elita had brought it up once, a barb attached to her words as Optimus simply accepted it, optics averted. Internally, Megatron found it perhaps the slightest bit selfish to keep stringing along Bumblebee. At least Megatron had severed his tie to his creations with Soundwave, though it had pained him so. Regardless, Megatron kept quiet and held his glossa.
The arrival of a small group of Autobots had made it nigh impossible to keep his silence.

”Hello Soundwave,” Ultra Magus attempted to smile but it looked awkward on his usually stoic face. “It’s been a long time hasn’t it?”
Soundwave growled. Ultra Magnus and his Elite Guard had also been duped by Sentinel. They had served him. They had not even questioned where or why the entire High Guard had suddenly disappeared, believing the lies that they had died alongside the Primes.
”Ultra Magnus betrayed us,” Soundwave snarled angrily. “You abandoned the High Guard. You lived in luxury while the High Guard starved and died in great numbers on the surface! And now you follow one who demeans our contributions to Cybertron! One who insults the High Guard and sees us as lower!”
Ultra Magnus’s optic dimmed slightly and a look of shame crossed his face for the briefest of kliks before he steeled himself once again.
