So this is bound to cause tension so they are enemy alien races.(NOTE:The Diamonds are still the most powerful beings in the universe in this au) So while at war they capture eachothers like soldiers.Viltrmites just shatter captives because they don’t really need them but Gems don’t, they put the captured Viltrmites in like a human Zoo of sorts and this causes Viltrmites to be born into gem society.Nolan is one of these born into captivity Viltrmites and he’s a strong fighter and he was personally taught in yellow diamonds court. (NOTE:The reason Viltrmites are useful to gems are because they are organic and just more durable.) Now onto the actual story.After Pink breaks her first pearl,Yellow and Blue I think she still needs a helper but it can’t be something that she can break with a scream(basically not a gem). This fanfic is heavily inspired by "Things We Lost and Things We Gain" by teamchaosprez !! (steven universe fanfic in 2025???? crazy) It was written back in 2015 when Lapidot was just a CONCEPT, so I wanted to update it a bit according to lore and my own headcanons.

i mean, luz has never been normal. her pale white skin and short periwinkle-colored hair, along with the matching diamond-shaped gemstone on her chest, had always set her apart from the other kids. but, when she finds a mysterious portal, which, in the canon universe, would have taken her to the boiling isles. but in this universe, it only brought her to another place in the usa: Beach City. in beach city, she learns the truth about her: that she is a gem. she learns that someone took her from the diamonds and sent her to earth. Because, you see, she was the actual runt of the diamonds. She was the size of a Pearl. She looked like she could be a Pearl. But she wasn’t a Pearl. And she was going to save the gem world from the danger emerging: the diamonds had found a way to bring Pink back, and nobody knew of the danger Pink’s reemergence might bring.
