A century after the death of her beloved Aragorn, Arwen Undómiel is a queen in mourning, her immortality a source of profound sorrow as she watches the world of Men flourish without him.
She retreats to a fading Lothlórien, intending to die at Cerin Amroth.
However, her grief-stricken vigil is interrupted by Legolas Greenleaf, who has also lingered in Middle-earth. He gently urges her to let go of her sorrow and join him and their old friend Gimli on a new journey.
Legolas has built a ship in a healing Ithilien, a vessel named Lómelindë, and offers Arwen a place aboard.
