Summary
The corrupted wormhole spit Lance out at the edges of the ever expanding galaxy, with a corruption infection burning its way down his spine and Blue so damaged she’s offline.
He wasn’t expecting to be pulled in by a gravitational pull of a dark planet, never expected that crash landing would wake sleeping monsters.
Coupled with his own sense of self-worth, he wonders if the team would even come looking for him. Somewhere deep down he hopes they won’t, the planet he’s on isn’t nice and he’s not even sure him and Blue will survive. On the other side of the coin Lance knows they’ll come looking, they need Blue.
One thing he knows for certain. When they do find him, whether it be on this forsaken planet or in space, it’ll be too late.
Because to fight monsters you had to become one yourself to survive.

"Not 'Master' Neloth?" His tone is mocking and I furrow my brows before heaving myself up from the snow. It was deeper than I thought, coming up to my mid-thigh. Fresh snow too, with the way it compacted easily under weight. I pause.
"I'll strangle Neloth before I strangle you."

“The fuck does that mean, uncountable,” Karkat murmurs on reflex. That reflex is going to get him repudiated one day, probably, but he’s too fucked-out and cozy to care.
“I mean we tried to take inventory. It can’t be done!”
“Did humans not develop maulthematics? Where did you as a species get stuck? One mammary, two mammaries, oh fuck! It's too many mammaries.”
“Bluh! No, Karkat. We have discovered all of the numbers. It's just… when Rose and I moved in, there were about ten rooms? When Dave and Jade got here, we found another staircase. So Rose researched it, which was terrifying, and she says it's thirty rooms on average on a good day. More now that you're all with us too."
Karkat gazes into his lord's eyes. Lingers on the fluttery hair that got messed up by his own fronds. There's a streak of red slurry by that bizarre alien mouth. Karkat is a smitten, tragic buffoon.
"You need a system," he hears himself say. "Get me some of your primitive writing utensils, and paper - do you have dot grids yet? - and I'll take care of it."

No demon will survive setting foot, claw or tentacle in New York before that power starts to disperse back to the Earth.”
(In a world were the New York Institute holds a grudge against Magnus for breaking Alec's heart and takes it out by not letting Magnus use the Angelic Core to purge the ley lines; Alec comes up with a different idea. Or rather, it gets thrust upon him.)
