    “Ah, Mr. Parker, glad you’re awake.”

    A voice came booming into the room, a stereo sound that made Peter immediately shutter and clutch at his ears.

    “Oh,” the voice said, this time much quieter. “That was very loud, wasn’t it? Oops, my bad.”

    A single spotlight popped into existence, illuminating a guy standing a few feet away from Peter’s cylinder. He took a few steps forward, his sneakers echoing in the silence, the spotlight following him exactly.

    “Hi,” he said, standing close enough for Peter to see him clearly. He had a very handsome face, sharp features, dark eyes, and hair. An abundance of scruff adorned his cheeks and chin but the rest of him looked professional and tailored, with a nice button up shirt and a pair of brown slacks. He reminded Peter of an insurance salesman almost immediately.

    "But like— exceptionally weird." The girl sighed, gently reaching her hand out, combing her fingers through his fluffy chocolate hair. "Are you coming to the museum?" She asked, referring to the undamaged museum in London.

    "No." Peter sat up, messaging his temples, eyes closed. "I mean I can't.."
