    It was never my plan to kill President Coin. Until I did.
    As he says it, I remember the fire lighting me up from the inside, slicing through me like a hot knife. I've been shot before, but this didn't feel like that. And Peeta…Peeta was shot too? They'd have no reason to hurt him.
    Unless killing us was always the plan. Could Coin, even as she lay dead at my feet, have already arranged the demise of her final opposition to power? One last desperate act from a defeated "Capital" as payback for killing Snow? But why??? Why kill Peeta too? Unless she knew Peeta would always be a threat to those seeking control.
    Would our eulogies be given for a second, third, fourth time in our short lives? And if so, how did we end up back in a Arena, two years in a past I thought I was stuck having nightmares about, but at least I'd already survived?
    It's something to think about, but not right now.
    "There aren't any guns in the arena," I assure him, over-enunciating my words. "It must have been a fever dream."
    "Yeah," he repeats. His eyes are finally free of their haze.
    "Of course. We'll talk about it after we win. Together."
