The knight swallowed hard, closing his eyelids tightly, exhaling as much air as his lungs could muster. After a few seconds of waiting, Link's mouth made a meaningful movement.
"Ze... Zel... Zelda." The warmth returned to the young man's face, his blue irises returning to the girl with the most radiant smile ever.
"Yes, that's my name."

Summary
Between awakening her powers at Fort Hateno and sealing Calamity Ganon in the Sanctum of the castle, Zelda cannot make this journey without the guidance of the women in her life. She must guide Link's soul to resurrection, align the stars for him to deliver Hyrule's saving blow, and keep the Calamity at bay in the meantime.
It is the duty that falls to every daughter of Hylia. She must bear what nobody else can.
"Ten years ago, when her mother died, Zelda snuck into the room in which her body was being prepared for the royal funeral procession. Long after her father had been taken away, weeping, from his wife’s body, her ladies-in-waiting were still performing their duties – washing her with rosewater, burning myrrh and jasmine resins around her bed, threading jewellery made from juniper berries around her ankles and wrists.
Later, Urbosa – who had travelled all the way from Gerudo Town and stayed in the castle with Zelda for a week – taught her how to sew a traditional Hylian offering, embroidered with a little bird in golden thread and placed underneath her mother’s coffin pillow.
All the while, her father had sequestered in his room and mourned alone."

Amidst the blood and ash of Blatchery Plain Zelda is ready to give up hope when strangers appear. A group of eight warriors. With no other options Zelda entrusts her loyal knight's life into their hands. It seems foolish to believe in miracles but Zelda knows these men and boys can save Link.
The Chain has been given their most important mission, take the Hero of the Wild to the Shrine of Resurrection. Save his life and one day he will save Hyrule. They can only hope the actions they take today will actually make a difference.

Summary
A short ficlet detailing what Fi may have said to Zelda when Link finally fell on Blatchery Plain. I saw a video a while ago, I can't remember who made it, (props to someone who can send me a link!!) but it basically pointed out that in the time it took to heal Link in the Shrine of Resurrection, another hero could've been born and trained in time to defeat Ganon, guided by the fallen Link. Hero's Shade style, really. Anyway. Have some angst, leave a comment!!
