He was on the brink of sleep, teetering off the edge into unconsciousness, when Arthur moved behind him. At first Merlin took no notice of it and went back to the brink, but then an arm was draped over his torso and his eyes shot wide open. He held his breath, as if one single exhale would blow away the limb from his body. It wouldn’t of course, but that didn’t stop him from holding it until he couldn’t any longer.
Merlin and Arthur are in the cold with only one bedroll, and Arthur's too in love with his court sorcerer to let the man freeze to death. Alternatively, a fluffy, sappy oneshot :)

Only bringing magic back to Camelot will prevent the future he knows is coming from happening, but in his way is the only mountain he's never been able to climb; his father won't change for anyone, not even for his son.

Básicamente, una nueva versión del capítulo 05x08, The Hollow Queen.
Y en mi versión prácticamente ocurre lo mismo, salvo que Gaius le dice la verdad a Arthur, Arthur se preocupa y sale en busca de Merlin y Merlin no tiene que pasar por otra experiencia cercana a la muerte solo (solo= sin Arthur), porque Arthur está ahí para cuidar de él.

Everything is the same except Gaius tells Arthur the truth, Arthur worries and goes to look for Merlin himself and Merlin doesn’t have to go through another near-to-death experience alone (alone= without Arthur) because Arthur is there to comfort him.

Gwen and Arthur still got married at the end of season 4 but only so Arthur will have a queen, Arthur and Merlin had a hand-binding ceremony and Gwen and Lancelot probably did too, and they are all in this together and in agreement because they are all best friends and they love each other.
