“Sit down. Also, please remove the plate from the air.” Merlin does as he’s told—for once—and sit’s in the chair next to Arthur’s, who of which is sitting at the head of the table like normal.
“So, you’re a…”
“A sorcerer, yes.”
“I was going to say an idiot, but sure.”Revealing his magic to Arthur happens in the weirdest, stupidest way, but somehow the idiocy does not end there. He tells his king the truth, maybe minus a couple of details involving people close to him, and then lets the man deal with it in his own time. Merlin's aware he's a unique person, but to think he's that much of an idiot that everything he mentioned—destiny, dragons, coins and such—is a complete lie? Well, that's just insulting.
Or, the magic reveal fic where Arthur doesn't believe how powerful Merlin is because he thinks his servant is too stupid for it to be true.

Merlin is not a sorcerer.
He is magic itself—older than language, older than the stars, shaped into mortal form and bound by fate to serve the one king who might unite Albion. To Arthur, he is only a manservant. A friend. An annoyance, perhaps. But beneath the clumsy smiles and rolled eyes, something...old stirs.
And now, the world is screaming. Magic—his magic—howls with the weight of a coming storm. Visions of war. A crown shattered. Camelot in flames. Every time Merlin listens to the bones of the earth, he loses a little more of himself. Every time he holds his silence, the voices grow louder. Until at last, they begin to break him.
He can no longer keep the truth buried. Arthur must know what walks beside him. What protects him. What might one day destroy him. Because something is coming. And it will fall here. And kill them all.

“Think about it, ladies and gentlemen,” the auctioneer crowed. “Just imagine! A prince bowing at your feet! Serving you. In any manner you wish!”
The implications of the last statement sent shudders into his body and the crowd rose in volume and even more in price.
Arthur shut his eyes. This was him now. A slave. His past life forgotten save for the appeal of selling him off to a new master. He had tried to escape so many times and had the scars to count them, but he could escape no more now. He had accepted it months ago.
Suddenly, a voice rose.
“Twelve hundred gold pieces.”
And the crowd fell into a hush.

Summary
It's the golden age of Camelot, and King Arthur had survived the battle of camalann.
Now that things are peaceful for the time being, Arthur desperately wants to take some time to rebuild some old bridges. example being, the one with the druid people.
And after finding out Merlin had magic ,three months ago, and slowly coming to terms with it, now definitely seems like a good time to begin slowly driving out the fear of magic in his kingdom. (Which was not going to be easy.)
Besides, It might do Merlin some good to be around others like himself.
So, after holding a small private meeting for his (hopefully) new allies, The druid chief Iseldir kindly invites King Arthur (and Merlin) to join his clan as they celebrate Beltane, adding, that their great leader "Emrys", a very powerful sorcerer, would be delighted to meet him, and negotiate further on where they stand. Arthur of course, happily accepts for both of them.
Only for the progressive moment to be interrupted by Merlin who, no surprises there, had just dropped the wine he was serving with a loud crash.
Arthur would have to talk with Merlin about that later. -

Year after year, he scanned those faces, searching for the familiar flash of blue eyes, the proud set of the jaw, any sign of the man he had waited centuries for. Summary
Merlin had, of course, carefully evaluated how he should explain the fact that kingdoms weren’t really a thing anymore, and that Camelot, uh, didn’t quite exist anymore, and he was fully prepared to answer questions about cars and lifts and cell phones and the likes, but he hadn’t even paused on the concept of sexuality.
Suffice to say he hadn’t at all anticipated the question “What is… gay?” and the can of worms that that would uncover.
