The adventure begins when 24-year-old aspiring character designer Tachibana Hazuki awakens in the body of the Touken Danshi, Nakigitsune. After dying in the "real world," she finds herself transmigrated into a new reality, where she must complete quests assigned by the mysterious Soul Preserving System—all while adjusting to life in a male body. As she fights alongside her new comrades to protect the flow of history, Hazuki discovers different forms of love and connection. However, she also uncovers a disturbing truth: her death was neither an accident nor caused by illness. Someone wanted her dead.
