Prince Theseus has known he was to be the Crown Prince since he was 8 years old. Prince Wilbur wanted to pursue music, and their father wholeheartedly agreed.
That's when he had started prepatations for the role, and was finally was deemed ready for the title at age 13. He's set to inherit the kingdom when he turns 20, and he he's in charge of the biggest event of the year; the Winter Festival.
Which, it's fine. He doesn't have the time to dwell over little things, he has a country to run, festival to plan, etc. And it doesn't matter that his father barely even looks at him because he's doing important things, they both are. The king is... leaving a 17 year old to run his nation and Theseus is... the one running that nation-
But it's fine! It's all fine and dandy, he can handle it!
And then-
Then his father brings a commoner into the palace. But that's fine! Except he somehow earned all the love from Theseus' brother and father that he should've gotten.
And he's drowning, his walls are crumbling, everything is fine!
...
But it's really not and it all comes to fruition at the festival when he finds people who actually care. -

There stands Selkie, one of the top 5 supervillains. She's bleeding from her front, hand caked in dry and sticky blood from where it holds a wound of some sort.
Tommy gapes as she stumbles inside the coffee shop, his coffee shop.
"You're a healer right?" She asks weakly, before promptly passing out.

Tommy would have been lying if he said he wasn’t jealous on the day of Wilbur’s 15th birthday. In fact, he was so upset that he cried about it, alone in his room. He knew he shouldn't have been crying, he was a big boy now. But at the age of ten, he has never felt so alone before.
Maybe he felt that way because neither Phil nor Wil wished him a happy birthday. Or maybe it was because he didn’t get any special gifts. Maybe he was upset because he didn’t feel noticed by those he looked up to his whole life. Or maybe he was just upset because no one helped him mourn the loss of his mother. Maybe it was because he felt like he didn't have a father, or maybe he just didn't have a family. Tommy didn’t know which one it was.
But he knew that he would never forget that day, because eventually it became a continuous cycle. No one would wish him a happy birthday again until they realized it was too late.

Tommy huffed before crossing his arms, flinching at the sting that arose. “What can I say, that lanky bastard had his foot in the way.”
They blankly stared at him. Tommy knew it was clearly in disbelief of his story. He also did not care! “You don’t get that injured from a fall Tommy, especially not with that much blood.”
“Niki, are you accusing me of lyin’? I am hurt! Yet here you are, judgin’ me. I expected better of you.” Shaking his head in faux disapproval to hide his wry smirk.
A soft chuckle escaped her as she stepped forwards, ruffling his hair before heading through a door to the store room “whatever you say kiddo.”
“I’m NOT a kid Niki, I’m a big man, the BIGGEST man.”
Denial never hurt anyone; not that badly at least.
