Ash ketchum recebe um pedido do professor Carvalho para ir até seu laboratório, alguma coisa estava acontecendo lá e o professor precisava da ajuda do garoto, após dormir na casa de sua mãe chegando de uma jornada, Ash corre em direção ao laboratório junto de Pikachu, no local o garoto descobre que Lucario estava com dificuldades para dormir e parecia estar sempre atacando alguns Pokémons, como Ash tinha uma conexão com o Pokémon, talvez ele pudesse saber o que estava acontecendo, infelizmente o garoto não conseguia saber o que incomodava Lucario, Ash viu o estado de seu Pokémon, estava com olheiras, mal conseguia ficar de pé devido ao cansaço, ele parecia não ter tido uma boa noite de sono por muito tempo, o garoto precisava saber o que estava acontecendo com seu amigo, Gary que acaba de chegar de viajem, pede a Ash que deixe ele cuidar do Pokémon durante a noite para ver se descobre alguma coisa, Ash não vendo muitas alternativas permite Gary olhar o Pokémon durante aquela noite, Ash volta com a mente presa no estado do Pokémon lutador, chegando na casa Ash recebe uma visita um pouco inesperada, era sua tia Amber e sua prima Gray que por algum motivo estava distante dele...

Peace was always going to be broken one day.
Ever since the end of the X-Program, the Digital World had known peace, albeit one unsettled by a new reality of unforeseen consequences. Still, those who remained lived long enough to guide and teach the next generations, who have gone to teach those who came after them, and bit by bit, the population of the Digital World grew. Their children have since returned to the cities, to society, and to civilization. And despite the occasional boiling over of disputes, even the most militaristic and aggressive rulers have been kept in check.
But nobody was ready for the disaster that was to come. Has this sudden jolt of violence merely sowed the seed of unrest? Already the Kans of Waitarō and Akoaepa have warred, and Chokan and Razakesa are not far behind the path to conflict. The birds of prey, those dastardly warmongers, have begun to circle. Will the cataclysm that all Digimon face be the lit fuse that sets off the powderkeg?
And perhaps more importantly, what do those foreign artifacts scattered throughout the Digital World have to do with the chaos?
