Long ago, the crystal grumps were formed by a man known as Jon. In the end, the gems known as Arin, Suzy, and Barry were left on earth and tossed aside by the homeworld gems. Shortly after they met Ross, sort of completing the team. Once finding a almost newly created gem, they took Kevin in to raise almost. Earth was a wonderful place, worth protecting in all honesty. Of course most humans didn't understand why the gems bothered but there were some perks. They even had a nice neighbor, Mark, who's set on getting them to explore human culture. Arin on the other hand has felt more alone on this planet no matter how hard the other tries... After a failed search for an old notebook, he comes across an old blue music box.

Holy fuck, I'm in love with the song 6969 from the Attitude City album and couldn't resist writing a full length story about the adventure that takes place in it. Like, this is something I literally HAVE to do. I won't forgive myself if I don't do it. Also, I needed a change of pace, something in the balance between fluff/smut and angst. Gonna add some things too, just to make the story a little smoother.

While Suzy is slowly accepting it, going through Arin's things and trying to come to terms with it, Dan is barely taking care of himself, stuck in a rut because Arin is gone. Suzy then comes over to deliver a box with Dan;s name on it, which breaks Danny down to properly accept that Arin is no longer here. || I thoroughly suggest listening to Wish You Were Here while you read, either version will make you cry. Sorry for the tears. Spur-of-the-moment idea from a random prompt 'She held a tattered box in her bandaged hands.'

Ever since the Void stole the stars, Moebius has fallen into despair. The lands are no longer fertile, light is harder to come by, and conditions worsen each day. The Moebians are falling ill, their cores becoming dim as their days in darkness drag on, threatening to pull their race into extinction.
Strive keeps his head held high, gazing at the darkness with hope in his core. He patiently waits for the stars' return, awaiting his chance to finally see them after so many years. While his grandfather had long given up, he never did, his core shining bright whenever he envisions the missing starlight above.
A mysterious shard falls from the sky, crashing into the desolate planet. Determined to end their eternal night, Strive sets off on an adventure unlike anything he could have ever dreamed. Naïve to the outside world, he must quickly adjust to the chaos of the open galaxy. With the help of his new—rather odd—friends, Strive must learn what it means to fight for what you believe in, even when doubt runs rampant and the odds are severely stacked against you. Strive garde la tête haute, son regard plein d’espoir défiant les ténèbres. Il attend patiemment le retour des étoiles après tant d'années passées dans l’ombre. Contrairement à son grand-père, il ne s’est pas résolu à ce quotidien morne et dès lors qu’il repense aux étoiles, la lumière de son cœur exposé se ravive.
Un jour, une mystérieuse lueur s’écrase sur la surface désolée de sa planète. Déterminé à mettre fin à l’éternelle nuit, Strive se lance dans l'aventure de sa vie. L'espace lui étant inconnu, il devra bien vite s’adapter à ses dangers. Avec l’aide de ses nouveaux – et curieux – amis, Strive va devoir se battre pour ce en quoi il croit. Moebius is a planet that has invariably depended on the starlight to guide them. When the very stars they live by are swept out of the sky, their desolate realm dwindles, life force absorbed by the Red Dot.
Despite all hope growing far out of their reach, Strive, the beacon of determination never releases his pursuit to reach the stars. The long-forgotten wish to touch the skies above rests solely within him, after years of this eternal night. His will draws him far out into the cosmic tides, where an encounter with unlikely allies challenges all he's ever known.
Through his journey of downfalls and lapses, he learns through pushing onwards to triumph that he truly is the one born of Hope.
______The characters, designs, concepts, and premise belong to TWRP and Knights of the Light table. This story is heavily based off of the animated music video released by them. Lyric writing was attributed to Dan Avidan.
