Sunsets.
Sunrise had always preferred them over sunrises, despite it being her name. Maybe it was how all the purples, pinks, oranges, yellows, and reds all mixed together nicely. It was just way more pleasing than sunrises.
Too bad she’s never going to see them anytime soon.
Someday, Sunrise will get out of this god forsaken place, and she’ll make sure of that.

The demon sighed, placing a hand on her father’s shoulder as he clutched his shirt. “Father.” She waited for an answer but received none. The middle-aged man was like a zombie at times, staring at empty corners or the static of their TV. Skept was disappointed he would plan these kinds of events in this shape; whatever sickness he had, it was worsening every day. He got so tired that he simply shut down. It was sad, she didn’t want to accept the fact that nothing would change his mind. He didn’t want help.
Skept was afraid he’d be dead by morning.
