This is a Babylon 5 centered tale. It explores a BSG style exodus due to the loss of the Earth-Minbari war. It becomes a crossover with nBSG as of Interlude 1, and crosses with Firefly as of Interlude 2. Most B5 and BSG canon should remain unchanged, including EU materials. However, Firefly will mostly use series and film canon. Its EU began to expand after I had already merged the plots of all of these shows.

After the destruction of the Resurrection Ship, the Cylon prisoner being held aboard the Pegasus mysteriously escapes to assassinate Admiral Cain. When Cain survives the attempt on her life, she wakes up paranoid and with a renewed bloodlust. As she recovers, she struggles to establish order and root out the enemy amongst their ragtag fleet as Adama and Roslin push back at almost every turn. Far from home and on the run for their lives, Cain makes her own rules as she wages an impossible war across the stars.
Now at large, Gina Inviere is on her own quest for revenge. She works in secret to dismantle the fleet of human survivors, using every ally and resource she can find to complete her mission, including the eager-to-please Gaius Baltar. But to complete her mission, she must first evade capture by her former lover, engaging in a game of cat and mouse that will shape the future of humanity and the Cylons.

Summary
When the Battlestar Galactica makes their desperate jump towards Earth, lead by Kara Thrace and four of the Final Five Cylons, they don't find the Earth they expect. They find an Earth encircled by giant black ships and a woman calling herself Commander Shepard telling them to leave before the Reapers attack them. With Earth not the safe haven they'd hoped for, a multi-species conflict raging around them, and the enemy Cylons still a threat, the Colonial Fleet and their Cylon allies struggle to make a place for themselves in this new universe.
