Summary
This started as an attempt to imagine what life was like for Mycroft as a young child. Current canon seems to indicate no child-friends for him for at least the first twelve or so years of his life, maybe even a bit more than that. Given the difference in ages, that means Mycroft was not just an isolated child for the first seven years of his life, he was an isolated only child. What's life like for a seven-year-old boy with no friends, no peers, no community near enough to "borrow" friends and peers from?
The thing is, once you let the imaginaries in, they seem to have minds of their own. This got both meta and a bit creepy.
It helps to be familiar with both Alice books (Wonderland and Looking Glass), with Peter Pan, with the Jungle Books and Kim, and with Mary Poppins. A hat-tip to the many before me who've seen the affinity between some of these characters and Sherlockverse...and Mycroft.

Riley Beckett has lived through 3 painful years of Chronic Lung Disease. He finds himself a best friend, an imaginary boy with a heart of gold and a wanting to help Riley have the best last 8 months of his life. And that's just what he did.
Around 65 million people currently suffer from Chronic Pulmonary disease and 3 million people die from it. Chronic Lung disease kills 3,300 people annually and is deadly without constant treatment. It is not a common disease and doesn't have a vaccination for COPD specifically. Though this story screams friendship it is mainly to spread awareness about this disease.

He protects Davey as best as he can from the monsters lurking everywhere around him just waiting out there to gobble him up. Will this friend of his in the end be able to fight off the monster that is out to really hurt him the most. Will Davey every be able to prove to his mom that he isn't a baby and that he can stay dry and not wet or even mess himself anymore.

Authors Note: This was the first diaper story I ever attempted to write so please go easy on it as it isn’t all that good. Ever since I wrote this story though, I have wanted to rewrite it and make it a much better story. I wrote a couple of other stories after this one that were written just as bad and I will also include them here. I just want everyone to know though that even though this one definitely isn’t that great; I have also re-writing this story which I am posting here. The newer ‘Davey’s Story’ in my honest opinion is much better. Then again, I was in my Twenties when I wrote this one and now over 15 years later, I think I have come a long way. I hope that no matter how you feel about this story that you will definitely give my newer version of ‘Davey’s Story’ a look as I can promise you that if you like my long story ‘Titanic’, you should definitely love the new ‘Davey’s Story’! Current Writer Notes: JD here. I just wanted to say that I have been talking to the author of this fine story and was sad to hear that he planned on not finishing continuing it. I know I probably shouldn't pick up another story with a few of mine that are still not finished right now, but I fell in love with this one right away and with a few tweaks, I felt like I could truly make it into my own, while also leaving the original authors imprint on the story. For the most part, the major frame of the story will stay the same, just with a few differences that I hope people will like. I will still keep the story in First Person, switching back and forth between Julian and Max, but like all my stories, diapers will be involved, and maybe the budding of a BOYxBOY romance.
