Haiii guys! This is technically my first ever fic!
I'm writing about the setting and characters in the D&D campaign I'm currently in. BUT! To make it even more interesting, I'm writing the fic as if one of the NPCs in the campaign, Essie, is writing it. Therefore, this fic technically exists in universe, and is shared by Essie with the other crewmembers aboard The True Blue.
The premise of this fic is that the Captain of The True Blue, Kan Kerai, is secretly a pit fighter. What happens when one of the Officers on board finds him out? How will everyone react to their Captain's secret??

With the help of the half-orc Aspyn, two high elves named Silver and Echelon, a halfling named Professor Shadrock, the dragonborn Skygge, the half-elf Arlan, and a few other friends they meet along the way, Merea hopes to be reunited with her children soon.

Aspyn has been running from her past for decades. After adopting a young squirrel named Barnaby and befriending an elf named Isaac and a fellow half-orc named Stephanicus(Steve), Aspyn realizes she's not truly alone in the woods.
Until the day she comes face-to-face with those haunting, glowing orange eyes and remembers the last thing her mother told her before having her heart ripped violently from her chest: "Run"

He wondered if that was an Ilmater trait, perhaps one to keep his followers acting accordingly. “Does a god forgive someone who asks you to kill for them?”
“I’m not sure. Does a god forgive the one who says yes?”

A fantasy world isn't just filled with the characters considered the main party, but rather a plethora of adventurers whose journeys aren't the focus of the story. This story tells about the adventures of one such group, whose path never directly crosses with the path told in the overall campaign.
A sheepfolk, an antilonoid, and a hyenafolk journey together to explore their continent and also convert a lot of others to following Bahamut. Well, two of them are aiming for the first point and one is aiming for the second, but it's what they do.

Summary
Discovered abandoned as a baby, Qyunn'aris was raised in an Empire of elves for no other reason than an Empress' mercy. Constantly forced to prove himself as more than a drow’s unwanted spawn, Qyunn showed himself loyal to the Empire of Stars, joining its order of knights and eventually being assigned to guard the Empire's charming but spoiled Prince Astarion, who, despite descending from a long line of sorcerers, is magically inept. Despite this, the two adore each other, their bond teetering past friendship and into forbidden love. A love that is threatened when the Empress suddenly announces the Prince is to pick a spouse from a competition of eligible suitors.
In danger of being torn apart, the forbidden lovers' lives are shaken up when a tentacle ship kidnaps them both and inserts a deadly tadpole in their heads. Now, they must team up with a ragtag group of adventurers to get the Prince home. If this inconvenience wasn’t enough, they discover that darker forces are at work around them, conspiring against the well-being of the Empire, and the Prince's upcoming nuptials might not be the only thing trying to keep them apart.
