Rachel could've tried to ignore David, but she almost didn't want to. Some part of her felt like she owed it to him to at least hear him out, or moreso that this was her punishment. She was enough of a monster as it was, but to ignore his pleading felt like a step too far.
"Ax, please, I'll do anything. I know you're stuck on Earth with these humans, I bet I could help you find a way home. Just let me out!"
