The world had been saved, though none returned from Origin. But Clive’s Raise spell, while not restoring life, bestowed the eternal life of reincarnation on the fallen trio. And as if in reward, Joshua and Dion will always find happiness with each other.
Thousands of years later scientists have uncovered and managed to activate one of the Fallen artificial Mothercrystals, restoring some magic to the world, as well as unleashing new waves of threats. The current incarnations of Clive, Joshua and Dion will find themselves faced with dreams and snippets of their past, the (partial) return of their Eikons, and will explore creepy towers and face threats both new and old – an ancient threat even its Fallen creators feared.

After Origin, Clive grieved to find Joshua unbreathing, but warm and whole. He remained still but perfect, with only his hair growing ever longer. Clive could not find a way to bring Joshua back, so he hid Joshua away in a deep forest. At the end of Clive's life, as he visited Joshua for the last time, he made a silent plea, “Please. Let somebody wake him up with love.”
