The boys spend some quality bonding time while searching for her, teasing eachother as always, ranting about their scores and anything else they could think of. One of the boys gets a little put-off and it causes him to ask a sudden question...

She tilts her head questioningly. “What about Kairi? Like I said, Sora… I am only acting upon her untapped desires. If you think about it, it’s just as though you were with Kairi herself.”
Sora doesn’t quite believe that to be true. After all, Naminé has shown herself to be very different from Kairi in many ways. She is more connected to Sora, his heart and memories, but… Maybe that’s better?

Shadows filled his view, a hulking wall of them blocking out the rising sun. And at their very center, less than fifteen feet from the car, was a teenager holding a sword. A bright spot in the darkness.
