Summary
Okay so I've been thinking a lot about the Greek Gods and there dynamics lately. I know the myth says Athena sprung from Zeus's head as a young adult but what if that wasn't the case. What if she spent the first few years with her mother in Zeus's head before being ousted from that home and into the world.

Summary
Gods were not meant to die. They were manifestations of concepts, they weren’t meant to pass on unless the idea they were made from became obsolete, and even then they simply went dormant. Though, Gods also weren’t supposed to debase themselves for the lives of mortals, so perhaps it was only fitting that one impossibility followed another.
And perhaps it only made sense that the Gods wouldn’t accept their newfound mortality.

In a haze of regret and grief, Zeus becomes frantic and desperate to fix his mistake. He enlists his brother Hades and Prometheus to help revive Athena, but their solution is crude. They aren’t powerful enough to bring her back unchanged, and to keep things like her immortality intact, other things need to be sacrificed. Most noticeable of which, was her age. Perhaps though, this is an opportunity to make things better then they ever were.

Summary
So the brilliant neal-illustrator drew a picture of Zeus helping baby Athena learn to walk with the caption, "The tale says that Athena popped out of Zeus’s head an adult but rumor on Olympus is we just didn’t get to meet her till she was grown."
And that inspired me to write a fic where Athena pops out of Zeus's head as a 7 month old.

This AU was inspired by a comic by a Korean creator (@X: sseng_corea), which vaguely mentions Prometheus hanging around the earth after being rescued and being involved in the Trojan War and the return of Odysseus. Unfortunately I'm unable to find the comic's URL at the moment, if I find it subsequently, I'll add it.
