Kaiyo let out a heavy sounding sigh, tightening her grip on the steering wheel, “I said I’d try...but circumstances change, Shouta...and it’s not safe here anymore.”

"It's not safe here anymore."
A phrase Shouta's been hearing his entire life at this point. What was safe? What were they even running from? His mother danced around the subject each and every time he tried to broach it. Now it's all lead to this....being pulled from UA, leaving his dreams of being a hero shattered on the ground and stomped all over. His friends are gone, just like before, having been erased from his life by the simple push of a button by his mother and the words, "It needs to be a clean break."
Shouta's had enough...one way or another he'll be a hero...he'll get back to them. Screw safe. He's done.
