It's a native plant to the planet Chorus, and apparently, it's a blessing to give to newly weds trying for kids. It represents fertility, and a sexual love. You hang it up in doorways, and it's traditional to kiss whoever you end up under it with.
Donut doesn't seem to mind, all to happy to carry tradition on with whoever ends up under it with him. Who knows? Maybe it'll give him some Luck with that crush on their medic he seems to have been harboring.
