Summary
Sue is dying in Reed's arms, and Victor is dying a couple of feet away, too. Alone.
After the incident with the Silver Surfer and the board fell into Victor's possession, Victor confronted Galactus and secured victory, saving the world in the process. Though he didn't make it out of the battle uninjured.
Reed always thought he couldn't bear the thoughts of losing Sue. He realized — with guilt and terror gripping his heart — as Victor lay half-conscious in the pool of blood, maybe, he couldn't bear the thoughts of losing Victor, after all.
