Summary
Hikaru has wrapped up his rookie season for the Macross Racing Team, so far it's been nothing but a dream come true. He gets to go all across the country, race with his best friend Roy, and drive fast cars. The only downsides are his struggle to prove himself a competent driver since Roy staked his career on Hikaru. It's a lot of pressure for one young adult, and it doesn't help his emotionless brick of Chief Mechanic is constantly bitching in his ear. As he struggles to keep his cool and his secretive past under wraps he can't seem to get away from the annoying mechanic.
Misa has worked hard to get her where she is. Her entire family had been mechanics and engineers and she was the disappointment of the entire lineage. She tried not to let it bother her, and from a glance nobody can tell anything bothers her. She's hard to read at the best of times and knows it. Still she is not only the chief mechanic for the young Macross Racing, but also easily the best mechanic in the cup series. As she struggles to put up with the constant insults from Hikaru, she also struggles internally to be more comfortable in her own femininity.
