Summary
Feliciano was the first to fold, the coward he was. He turned himself in before Mussolini had even been hanged. Kiku vowed to keep fighting for as long as the sun rose in the East—and so, one morning, the sun came falling down on him in retribution.
Only Ludwig remained on the run, fleeing Berlin at the first mention of Hitler’s death, sending an aide to collect Gilbert and Roderichs’ bodies from Dachau before the British could reach it. There were only two problems with his plan: Firstly, his plans were leaked, and Alfred Jones was waiting for him on a dock in Seychelles, pointing a pistol at the young man’s head. That, and against all odds, Gilbert and Roderich lived.
With no precedent to follow, representatives of the allied nations played judge against Ludwig, and took a vote. The decision was unanimous, that on December 15th, 1945, Ludwig Beilschmidt would be executed by a member of the council chosen at random and sworn to secrecy.
But when he woke up two days later, it became clear the world had a much greater question to answer: what now?
