Summary
Plumeria was the kingdom that, more than any of the others, Catra felt out of place in. She avoided some of the other kingdoms because of specific traumas and guilts, but never really felt too out of place when she was in them. She may have avoided Salineas because the water reminded her of Prime's pool, and she may have avoided the Kingdom of Snows because of guilt from Princess Prom, but she never actually felt awkward just existing in them.
But, Plumeria? It was so green, and not the bright, sickly Horde green, no. That would at least be familiar. No, Plumeria was a natural green.

Catra found the little specks of light really pretty, even if she'd never say that out loud. All her life, she was surrounded by metal and electricity, and fear. The stars were so free of that, and plus, they were just pretty.

Even the people who didn't use magic or fancy tech still appreciated the smaller enhancements to the world. Some villagers even said that the water in their rivers tasted purer when those moons aligned.

The only exception was Scorpia, but that was different. They had been friends back in the Horde, so it was just... Different.

The war was over. No more fights needed to be had. Training no longer needed to be done, at least not on a big scale, because they were safe. The princess alliance was more than happy to stop with the training and fighting because there wasn't a need to do it. Of course, they all still practiced using their powers and whatnot in case another war ever started (and just for practicality) but they stopped with the fighting...
The same could not be said for the ex-Horde soldiers.

Hordak was not used to physical contact with others, and neither was Entrapta. Back with Horde Prime, physical contact was a privilege that only the best of clones got. Hordak, of course, was more often seen by Prime as a failure. A defect. A mistake. An anomaly. So, he rarely got that. Entrapta also grew up alone, with her parents dying at a young age, and then with little friends even after joining the princess alliance.

Adora was only 2 when she had done it. She had snuck out of the barracks, narrowly avoiding the soldiers keeping watch. Thankfully, she was small, so it was easier to stay hidden. She wasn't even sure why she had snuck out. It was just as if something inside her told her she needed to get out and find something. Catra had been selfish ever since Adora left the Horde, or maybe she had always been selfish. That's how everyone else saw it, at least. Adora knew that her awful actions hadn't come out of narcissism. If anything, they stemmed from the opposite. With Adora gone, there was no one to protect her anymore, so she fought to prove herself. If she could get high up in the ranks without Adora, then it would be proof that she never needed her in the first place. Then, it couldn't hurt as much... Right?
