Vee yells at Shelly in the elevator, causing her to get really upset. She brushes it off in the moment, but her emotions start flooding. She tries to get through the rest of the run, but Astro can tell something is off.

Shelly is happy. She goes on excursion with her fellow mains to extract ichor for Delilah. She gets along well with them and finds her place in the secret operation. However, it doesn't take much to flip her life upside down. One critical mistake on her end leaves her outcast and ignored, and before long she finds her body changing in ways it shouldn't. Slight aches become unbearable pains, and her limbs warping until they were unrecognizable. How she desperately wishes she had never said anything.

Shelly was unsure if she’d ever had such a bad day in her life.
Sure, there were some memories she could recall of getting hurt or having a multitude of toons forget her name- but this really did just so happen to top it all.
Dandy had told them to go down in the elevator to help fill up machines for some reason- and had successfully put them all in danger thanks to the twisteds. Mutated, feral toon counterparts that attacked them. And yet, despite the fact Boxten had been ripped apart a few floors ago- Dandy wouldn’t let them back up, and just keep selling his stupid items- ignoring their questions and begging.
Shelly doubted they even noticed she was missing from the elevator. And how with how Dandy kept bringing the elevator further down and down, the elevator was not coming back.
Shelly was now on her own. And if she didn’t do something about it, she was going to die.
