There was no call or text before a key was unlocking his door. No "can I stop by?", or a " u home?". It sent something akin to fear creeping up the back of his neck. Tim tamped it down, moving swiftly from his spot hovering over the kitchen counter above his supper to disarm the security system before it could let out a shrill alert at the door being pushed opened.
He turns with a frown, finally surveying the girl who had stopped in the doorway at the sight of him being right there, "Tamara?"

"It's been almost a year since he left her standing alone in this very spot, and he almost lets out a laugh over how ironic it is that this time it's he who's anxiously waiting.
He can't help but compare the two situations. Everything still looks the same. The flowers next to the sitting area are starting to bud, and it's still as quiet as it was back then. The only difference here is that Lucy's heart wasn't already broken into two.
It's weird. He really didn't expect standing here to hit him so hard, but it feels as if there is an aching pain in his heart that is threatening to consume his entire being whole—a pain so excruciating that he has to sit down.
But of course, the only place available is where it all started, and boy, does sitting here feel surreal. He remembers everything, each vivid scene painfully coming back to him in rapid bursts."
