Summary
Peter didn’t know what to say. The boy sitting before him was not the confident, charming Lockhart everyone saw. This was someone completely different, someone who needed someone else. And somehow, in that moment, Peter realized that maybe he could be that person. Maybe, just maybe, he could help Gilderoy—someone who had always been so untouchable—find a way back from this darkness.
“I’m here,” Peter said again, the words more certain now. He gripped Gilderoy’s hand tighter. “Whatever this is, you’re not alone. We’ll figure it out.”
