“What if Isshin & friends grew up during post-WWII U.S. occupation of Japan, set out to revitalize Ashina as the economic boom seemed to have forgotten the remote mountain town, and succeeded in doing so by building a heavy-industry-focused business conglomerate that manufactures and sells weapons to private military companies? How are the next generation to deal with the consequences, so as to both help the conglomerate survive societal changes, and be at peace with private traumas?”
