Summary
For five hundred years, Ben has worked as a god of death collecting the souls of murder victims alongside his partner, Hux. However, things take a turn towards the end of his contract when Ben falls in love with the final person listed in his Book of Souls, Rey. Unable to allow her to die, Ben seeks out a powerful otherworldly being who grants him the chance to become a human but at a cost; if he cannot make Rey fall in love with him within 30 days, he must kill her.
