Tod meets Copper after months of not seeing him, as Copper has been away with his owner. Tod tries to talk to him like they did when they were younger, but their reunion does not go as Tod hoped. It ends with Tod running away, tail tucked between his legs. The next time they meet, they are much older, and their second reunion goes well. Copper learns that Tod now has a husband and a healthy pup, living a family life. Little does Copper know that Tod’s life is a nightmare he wishes to escape from. Tod needs saving, and who comes to his rescue? None other than Copper. A happy ending in a fox's tale.
