After discovering that he would be the base subject for an attempt at cloning, San almost left the experiment as a whole, but he did not due to the large sum of money he would receive if he chose to participate.
Within the experiment, San comes face to face with a clone of himself. The only thing wrong with the clone? It would endlessly proclaim that only one of them would get to remain.
